Meet the Characters of Hanna's Universe

Welcome to a magical world where each character has a special role to play. Join us on adventures filled with wonder, friendship, and imagination!

🌼 Hanna

Hanna is the heart of the universe.
She is expressive, emotionally open, and deeply curious. Her face always tells a story — fear, wonder, joy, hesitation, or quiet courage are visible in her eyes and gestures.

Symbolism:
Hanna represents bravery through vulnerability.
She shows the reader that it is okay to feel afraid, unsure, or overwhelmed when facing
something new — and that courage does not mean the absence of fear, but the
willingness to move forward despite it.

In every scene, Hanna carries the emotional weight of the moment, inviting the reader to
feel alongside her.

🐶 Dogui (The Dog)

Dogui is warm, affectionate, and always ready to encourage.
He instinctively moves toward comfort, reassurance, and emotional safety. His first
response is always empathy — sometimes to the point of being overly accommodating
— because his love for Hanna guides his actions.

Symbolism:
Dogui represents emotional support in the face of fear.
He is the voice that says, “It’s okay. I’m here.”
His presence reminds the reader of the importance of kindness, reassurance, and
unconditional love — even when it means putting one’s own concerns aside.

🐱 Michiko (The Cat)

Michiko is thoughtful, serious, and observant.
With large eyes and a composed expression, he often crosses his arms or gazes into the
distance, reflecting before speaking. He values logic, clarity, and structure, and he
believes deeply in the power of reason.

Symbolism:
Michiko represents critical thinking and rational truth.
He does not soften reality for the sake of emotion. To him, reason does not need
justification — it simply is.
Although he genuinely wants to help Hanna, his challenge lies in expressing care without emotional flexibility.
Michiko reminds the reader that logic has value — but also that it must learn to coexist with empathy

🐰 Sagu (The Rabbit)

Sagu is gentle, observant, and quietly brave. With long ears and a tender gaze, he often stands between Dogui and Michico, listening
carefully before acting. He is usually the first to try something new, even if timidly.

Symbolism:
Sagu represents curiosity and openness to learning. As a mediator, he embodies balance — emotional awareness paired with thoughtful reflection.
He helps harmonize extremes, showing that growth happens when empathy and reason
meet.

Sagu invites the reader to stay curious, patient, and open-hearted

🥚 The Mysterious Egg

The Mysterious Egg: With tiny legs and sometimes a scarf, the egg has not yet hatched.

Symbolism:
The egg represents knowledge not yet born — potential, beginnings, and unseen growth. It is the reminder that something meaningful can exist even before it is fully understood
or revealed. Together, the mouse and the egg act as a gentle visual game — and a metaphor — encouraging readers to notice, wonder, and trust the process of becoming.

The Mouse

The Mysterious Mouse Always hidden — behind objects, in corners, or barely visible — the mouse never speaks.

Symbolism:
The mouse represents hidden curiosity.
It reminds the reader that learning often happens in unexpected places, quietly and
subtly, for those willing to look closely.

Rosalina Rangel

Rosalina Rangel

Hello, I’m Rosalina Rangel, writer and creator of Hanna’s Universe! I am also a teacher with over ten years of experience in Mathematics and Physics education. Throughout my career, I have supported children and teenagers not only academically, but also emotionally, blending rigor, creativity, and empathy to guide them through their learning journeys.

I am deeply passionate about multilingual education, art, and emotional development. Having lived in Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Canada, the United States, and Mexico, I have experienced firsthand how language, culture, and identity shape the way we learn, feel, and connect with the world. These experiences strongly influence my work and inspire me to create stories that bridge cultures, emotions, and imagination.

As a Christian educator and writer, my faith shapes the way I understand learning, care, and hope. Hanna’s Universe was created from a desire to offer more than books — to build a meaningful world where children, families, and educators can find support
through learning, faith, and creativity. Through devotionals, vocabulary books, coloring books, and future projects for parents, this universe is designed to grow alongside its readers. Guided by values such as solidarity, responsibility, commitment, and spiritual strength, my work seeks to create gentle spaces where learning becomes an act of love, and growth is embraced with intention.
